SECOND LINE SUPPORT DESK ENGINEER

This is your opportunity to work in a friendly, expanding & ambitious IT Managed Services business.
Your role as an Second Line Support Desk Engineer will be based from our Canterbury Office (in Kent, UK), supporting businesses across Kent and South London.
You will be working within our established team the scope and responsibility of the role may be expanded according to experience and qualifications. This role is for an experienced, versatile support engineer, well versed with Microsoft workstation operating systems, Microsoft Office products, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, network infrastructure, printers, routers and general IT support.
Training will be provided in J & J’s specific procedures and routines in line with our ISO certifications.
The role involves communicating with existing clients either by phone or email, providing remote technical support and occasionally there maybe occasion to visit client sites to support to resolve incidents.
Candidates must be motivated, responsible individuals who can follow instructions and manage tasks within the operational direction of the business. The successful applicant will need to be considerate of clients’ needs, polite and professional at all times.
We will need you to be able to demonstrate great communication skills to explain problems and solutions clearly to friendly, but non-technical users. You should hold excellent, logical, problem solving ability which can be applied not only directly with clients, but also in assisting our First Line Engineers in a manner to aid upskilling them and working as a key team member.
Microsoft qualifications would be useful, but are NOT essential for the application. However, the successful candidate will be expected to study for industry qualifications and must, therefore, be motivated to learn and quickly pass necessary exams and internal technical challenges. Initial salary can be increased based on certification and performance.
This is a permanent role with a salary commensurate with your experience and qualifications.

Pay: £33,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
