    While experience in a similar role is highly desirable, it is your attitude and commitment to guest satisfaction that truly matters to us. This physically demanding role requires plenty of stamina and the capacity to move heavy equipment. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
Responsibilities

JOIN OUR VIBRANT TEAM AT THE SHERATON ATHLONE HOTEL, A KEY MEMBER OF THE HODSON BAY GROUP, AS WE INVITE APPLICATIONS FOR THE ROLE OF M&E PORTER.

In this dynamic role, you will be an essential part of our operations, collaborating with every department in the hotel to ensure a smooth and flawless guest experience. Working side by side with our dedicated management team, you will play a pivotal role in exceeding our guests’ expectations at every turn.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responding promptly and professionally to guest requests, always prioritising excellent guest care.
  • Assisting with room service and managing guest luggage transportation.
  • Setting up and refreshing meeting rooms.
  • Performing regular security checks and participating in fire and accident drills.
  • Familiarising yourself with the hotel layout, the surrounding area, and local amenities.
  • Observing all safety rules and ensuring materials and equipment are always in a safe state.
  • Reporting and taking action on incidents of accidents, fires, loss or damage.
  • Upholding the hotel’s customer relations policy and promoting our services to guests.
  • Maintaining a high standard of personal hygiene, appearance, and professionalism.
