EXPERIENCED FURNITURE SEWER RELOCATION OPPORTUNITY – BEDFORD, VIRGINIA Relocation to Bedford, VA is required for this position. HF Custom, a division of Hooker Furnishings, is seeking experienced Furniture Sewers to join our manufacturing team in Bedford, Virginia. We are looking for skilled sewing professionals who take pride in producing high-quality upholstered furniture and are interested in building a long-term career with an established industry leader. This position is ideal for candidates with upholstery sewing experience in furniture manufacturing environments who are comfortable working with fabric and vinyl materials. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Sew upholstery covers, cushions, pillows, and furniture components using industrial sewing equipment. * Match patterns, align fabrics, and maintain proper seam placement to meet quality standards. * Read and interpret work orders, patterns, and production requirements * Inspect materials and finished products to ensure quality workmanship * Maintain productivity while meeting established quality expectations * Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED * Minimum 3 years of industrial sewing experience, preferably in furniture manufacturing * Experience operating industrial sewing machines * Ability to read and follow production specifications and patterns * Strong attention to detail and quality * Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment PREFERRED * Experience sewing upholstery covers and cushions * Experience with pattern matching * Experience working with fabric and vinyl upholstery materials Please note: Our products are primarily upholstered in fabric, with some vinyl applications. Leather experience is not required.
