Description:
JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a Experienced Commercial Interior Site Supervisor to oversee construction projects and ensure their successful completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and be proficient in blueprint reading, and quality control. Training will be provided if required to the right candidate.
Duties:
- Supervise construction projects from planning to completion
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors
- Implement and maintain project schedules
- Comply with Seagate and Client safety programs ensuring the safety of all personnel and public
- Ensure high standards of workmanship and quality control
- Ensure deadlines are met for deliverables
- Identify changes in project scope; communicate any changes to the Project Manager and coordinator to ensure appropriate change orders are processed
- Complete administrative tasks as required by the Project Manager
- Liaise with the client consultants and property management as needed, always representing Seagate in a professional and competent manner
- Monitor and coach employee performance
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Thorough knowledge of the Construction industry and best practices
- Understanding of project management best practices, and ability to supervise crews to meet established goals
- Contract management skills are considered an asset
- Strong communication skills when dealing with both internal personnel and external customers
- Organizational skills
- Interpersonal skills, able to manage labourers and subtrades effectively
- Able to solve problems and adapt to changing the scope or unexpected situations
- Leadership skills, able to motivate and coach performance
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have Carpentry experience
- Industry-related certifications or education considered an asset
- Experience overseeing subcontractors considered an asset
- Class 5 driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 44 per week
