We are currently seeking a seasoned Telecommunications Foreman to lead field crews and ensure high-quality execution of our telecom projects.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Telecommunications Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the day-to-day activities of field crews involved in installing and maintaining fiber optic and telecom infrastructure. This includes overseeing civil and aerial installations, ensuring safety compliance, monitoring productivity, and maintaining strong communication with project managers and clients

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in telecommunications construction, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Must have experience working around and with directional drills, including setups and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of fiber optic networks, coaxial cable systems, aerial and underground installations.
  • Ability to read and interpret utility maps, prints, and schematics.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to travel to job sites.
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations (OHSA) and best practices in the field.

Responsibilities

· Supervise, coordinate, and support field crews on installation, splicing, testing, and repair of telecom infrastructure (fiber, coax, copper).
· Ensure adherence to safety procedures and company policies.
· Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
· Maintain daily production logs, site reports, and quality control documentation.
· Coordinate with subcontractors, inspectors, and utility locators.
· Troubleshoot technical and field-related issues and provide effective solutions.
· Train and mentor crew members, promoting a culture of performance and safety.
· Ensure all work meets project timelines, budgets, and client standards.
