JOB OVERVIEW

Bullfrog Transmissions is a small but busy locally owned and operated shop. We have been one of Victoria’s top trusted transmission specialists since 1950. We specialize in diagnosing, repairing, and Maintaining transmissions for various vehicles. Our team is committed to delivering excellence in every repair, and we are looking for an Experienced Mechanic/Auto Technician to join our team.

SKILLS

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to lift heavy objects as required during repairs.
• Familiarity with schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting purposes.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail in all tasks performed.
• Ability to keep workspace clean

REQUIREMENTS

• Red Seal Certification is an asset
• At Least 3 years experience
• Experience with transmission rebuilding is an asset
• Valid Drivers license required
• Candidates must have access to and maintain their own set of tools
• wages based on experience*
  Job Type: Full-time
  Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
  Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

• Automotive repair: 3 years (preferred)

Work Location: In perso

• Remove and Reinstall Transmissions.
• Perform Transmission Services (Filter and Fluid change/flush).
• Road test vehicles.
• Operate hoists.
• Operate appropriate hand tools.
• Diagnose Transmissions problems
• General repairs when applicable
• Conduct Drivetrain repairs (Clutch replacement, differential overhauls, transmission overhauls, transfer case repairs, etc)
• Use diagnostic scan tools
• Reprogram vehicle computers and/or control modules when applicable
• Maintain a clean and well-organized workstation.
• Effectively communicate with shop foreman and service advisors
