EXPERIENCED UPHOLSTERER RELOCATION OPPORTUNITY – BEDFORD, VIRGINIA Relocation to Bedford, VA is required for this position. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates. HF Custom, a division of Hooker Furnishings, is seeking experienced Upholsterers to join our manufacturing team in Bedford, Virginia. We are looking for skilled craftspeople with a passion for quality workmanship and experience building upholstered furniture. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Upholster furniture frames according to engineering specifications and quality standards * Apply fabric, padding, foam, and other upholstery materials to furniture components * Install springs, webbing, cushions, and upholstery coverings as required * Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and upholstery equipment safely and effectively * Inspect finished products to ensure quality and appearance standards are met * Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED * Minimum 3 years of upholstery experience in furniture manufacturing * Experience upholstering chairs, sofas, sectionals, or other upholstered furniture * Ability to read and follow work instructions and specifications * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship * Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday PREFERRED * Experience working with custom or higher-end upholstered furniture * Experience with fabric upholstery applications * Experience with vinyl upholstery materials Please note: Our products are primarily upholstered in fabric, with some vinyl applications. Extensive leather experience is not required.
