Job Description Job duties include, but are not limited to: Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management. Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases. Qualifications We're looking for: Minimum of 1 year of veterinary assistant experience preferred. Saturday shifts are required for this position. Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, and processing laboratory tests. Confident and safe animal handling and restraint skills. Compassionate, positive, and team-oriented attitude. Strong communication and client service skills. Ability to multitask and stay organized in a dynamic environment. Comfortable adapting quickly as case flow and patient needs change throughout the shift. Motivated self-starter with a desire to continue growing knowledge and clinical skills.
