POSITION AVAILABLE: EXPERIENCED VETERINARY ASSISTANT

We are currently seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals, excellent communication skills, and a strong desire to provide outstanding service to both our clients and their pets.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Veterinary Assistant
• Knowledge of basic veterinary medical terminology and procedures
• Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Certification/Diploma as a Veterinary Assistant is preferred
• Must be willing to work Saturdays and Sundays as required

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week

• Assisting veterinarian during examinations and procedures
• Assisting with reception duties as needed
• Provide exceptional client care in the most highly professional manner, on the phone and through electronic communication mediums.
• Booking appointments, making call-backs to clients and prospective clients
• Issuing invoices and taking payments
• Assisting veterinarian before, during and after surgeries
• Providing compassionate care and handling of animals
• Administering medications and treatments as directed
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization in exam rooms and treatment areas
• Educating clients on proper pet care and nutrition
