We currently have a vacancy for a TIG & MIG Welder & Fabricator to join our team. The scope of works is varied but mainly concentrates on the manufacture of bespoke lifting equipment and special purpose machinery. Reporting to the Operations Manager / Managing Director the main duties and responsibilities include the following:

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• 2 years experience in fabrication
• 2 years experience with MIG welding
• 2 years experience with TIG welding
• Read and understand engineering drawings
• Formal qualification in fabrication and welding

• Welding and fabrication of mild steel (80%), aluminium (10%) and stainless steel (10%).
• Follow detail drawings accurately to produce finished fabrications
• Work on both small and large fabrications
• Use of band saw, pillar drill, radial arm drill, iron worker etc
• Attend internal project meetings
• Liaise with the design team to implement design improvements
• Inspection of finished fabricated parts
• Final assembly / fitting of manufactured parts
• Occasional helping out with installation duties
