Job Description This is a high-impact role focused on Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data. You will develop the automated workflows and ML models that translate raw radar signals into strategic intelligence (Change Detection, Anomaly Detection) for our Defense partners. Key Responsibilities: SAR Pipeline Engineering: Develop automated ingestion and preprocessing workflows for raw SAR data and metadata. Explorative Analysis: Identify relevant features in radar patterns to test hypotheses for classification and change detection models. Scalable Implementation: Build E2E Data/ML pipelines in Cloud-native environments using Data Lakehouse architectures. Product Integration: Work closely with API teams to integrate SAR analysis functions into mission-critical services. Mentoring: Lead junior members and establish Best Practices in Signal Processing and Data Engineering. Qualifications Requirements: Experience: Proven track record in Machine Learning and Deep Learning, specifically with Remote Sensing (SAR/EO) or Signal Processing. Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of Radar Physics, Georeferencing, and Co-registration are advantages as well Software Engineering: Expert in Python (scikit-learn, PyTorch), Git, and automated testing for data code. Data Architecture: Experience with ETL/ELT, Spark, and Lakehouse architectures. Language: Fluent English; German is a strong plus.
