Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE

The extrusion test center of plant-based proteins is in Norway. The Expert Extrusion main role is to plan and conduct trials run at the pilot plant to translate scientific concepts into food product prototypes, ensuring safety and good manufacturing practices. This full-time role reports directly to the Product Development Director.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this operative role, you will be responsible for all operations at the test center and be expected to:

  • Manage, plan and conduct experimental trials to translate scientific concepts into food product prototypes, ensuring safety and good manufacturing practices in the pilot plant.
  • Lead an Extrusion Sr Technician and supervise extrusion operators participating in projects at the test center.
  • Plan and conduct experimental pilot trials in collaboration with Sr. Product Developer, Scientists and eventually. other Project Managers in various R&D and PD projects within plant proteins (TVP and HME), and process flavors.
  • Design screw and barrel layouts for twin-screw extruders to process prototypes.
  • Ensure compliance to dsm-firmenich´s SHE and quality standards and contribute to a safe and environmentally friendly workplace.
  • Being flexible in work hours during test days. Long working days can be expected for some trials.
