Grade Level: L2 Location: Islamabad Last date to apply: 27th February 2026 What is Expert Tax Accounting & Planning? The Expert Tax Accounting & Planning role is responsible for managing tax accounting, compliance, forecasting, and reporting activities to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to applicable tax laws. The position supports business planning through tax forecasting and works closely with internal stakeholders, auditors, consultants, and group reporting teams. The role reports directly to the Manager Accounting & Planning and has no people reporting directly into it with an extended team of 12 team members. What does Expert Tax Accounting & Planning do? Determine and record accurate current and deferred tax impacts on a monthly basis in accordance with IAS 12. Perform variance analysis for inclusion in monthly management reports and forecasts. Prepare quarterly tax reporting packages and position papers for group reporting and share with VEON. Develop tax-related reports for internal stakeholders and departments. Conduct tax forecasting for financial planning and budgeting purposes. Prepare quarterly forecasts of tax positions and future tax payments. Collaborate with the planning team to incorporate forecasted tax expense and payment figures into financial models. Ensure compliance with applicable income tax laws in Pakistan. Monitor SOX controls related to taxation and ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns. Coordinate with external and internal auditors on tax accounting matters and resolve audit queries. Liaise with tax consultants for advisory support on complex tax matters. Provide assistance to the tax litigation team in managing ongoing tax cases. Identify and support the implementation of end-to-end tax process improvement initiatives. Jazz is an equal opportunity employer. Experience and Educational requirements CA or ACCA, qualified/part qualified CA/ 14 years education in Accounts and Finance. 3-4 years of experience. Telecom sector experience will be preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Stakeholder management. Analytical skills. Detailed knowledge of Tax laws applicable in Pakistan. In-dept knowledge of IAS 12 for recording of deferred tax. Experience of tax accounting and planning process. Oracle Windows OS and MS Office Why Join Jazz?
