Description:
Tetra Tech AMT is looking for a Technical Writer to support its FAA business.
Primary job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provides support to read and analyze highly technical materials and to create presentations of that information. This may be specifications, drawings, user manuals, presentations, reports, or training documents
- Authors complex software documentation, including user manuals, release notes, installation guides, design guides, training materials, technical guidance, and other technical documentation
- This individual will partner with other teams, such as development, customer engineering, marketing, and technical support groups to understand and respond to customer documentation needs
- Create new documentation and evaluate, edit, improve, and correct legacy documentation
The successful candidate will have:
- 15+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, math, or science
- Advanced ability to design and develop Microsoft Products to include: Office, Project and SharePoint
- Excellent writing, editing, drafting and journaling skills, to include the ability to design and create documents and artifacts from notional ideas
- Conceptual and practical understanding of all project management knowledge areas preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and handle tight deadlines
- Highly responsive to requested needs
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work with confidential and proprietary information using utmost discretion
- FAA experience is desired
