Description:

Tetra Tech AMT is looking for a Technical Writer to support its FAA business.

Primary job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provides support to read and analyze highly technical materials and to create presentations of that information. This may be specifications, drawings, user manuals, presentations, reports, or training documents
  • Authors complex software documentation, including user manuals, release notes, installation guides, design guides, training materials, technical guidance, and other technical documentation
  • This individual will partner with other teams, such as development, customer engineering, marketing, and technical support groups to understand and respond to customer documentation needs
  • Create new documentation and evaluate, edit, improve, and correct legacy documentation

The successful candidate will have:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, math, or science
  • Advanced ability to design and develop Microsoft Products to include: Office, Project and SharePoint
  • Excellent writing, editing, drafting and journaling skills, to include the ability to design and create documents and artifacts from notional ideas
  • Conceptual and practical understanding of all project management knowledge areas preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and handle tight deadlines
  • Highly responsive to requested needs
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work with confidential and proprietary information using utmost discretion
  • FAA experience is desired
