JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee our kitchen operations and ensure the highest standards of food preparation and service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with proven leadership skills and a passion for culinary excellence. This role involves managing kitchen staff, maintaining food safety standards, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or kitchen management roles within the food service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling practices, food safety standards, and culinary techniques.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience in team management and training.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries or complaints effectively.
  • Proficiency in using POS systems; experience with Micros POS is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Previous experience as a barista or in hotel kitchens is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety regulations.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring quality and presentation meet our standards.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and controlling waste to maintain cost efficiency.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
  • Conduct interviews for new hires and assist in the onboarding process of kitchen personnel.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize POS systems (including Micros POS) for cash handling and tracking sales.
  • Implement menu changes and specials based on seasonal ingredients or customer feedback.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations.
