About the role
In anticipation of significant growth within our exploration business, we are inviting expressions of interest from qualified geologists for the position of Exploration Geologist to join our expanding exploration team.

As the Exploration Geologist reporting directly to the President and Operations Manager, your primary role entails building and supporting the exploration team in both operational and technical aspects of exploration. This includes overseeing various drilling activities, program planning, and on-site implementation. Your responsibilities will actively contribute to the execution of the company’s exploration strategy, involving:

  • Collating and assessing all available data in project areas to identify potential targets, conducting mapping and sampling in new project areas, integrating this information with other geological data to generate targets.
  • Ensuring the receipt and validation of all data before commencing interpretations.
  • Producing geological plans, cross sections, long sections, and comprehensive reports incorporating geological interpretations and planning.
  • Collecting, reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting exploration results promptly upon receipt.
  • Designing, executing, and monitoring the performance of drill programs.
  • Ensuring the validation of all drilling data before entry into the database.

We are seeking dynamic individuals who are not only technically proficient but also possess strong teamwork and leadership skills to contribute to the continued success of our exploration projects.
About You

To be successful in this role, you should possess prior experience in remote exploration in Northern Canada, along with the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from a recognized tertiary institution
  • Minimum of 2 years’ exploration experience
  • At least 12 months of experience in regional and generative exploration
  • Proficiency in exploration data collection, field mapping, and sampling
  • Strong expertise in drill planning and supervision
  • Demonstrated understanding of geochemistry and structural geology
  • Proven management and mentoring skills, including training and personnel retention
  • Familiarity with GIS Software (QGIS or ArcGIS)
  • Working knowledge of geological 3D software such as Micromine, Surpac, or Leapfrog
