POSITION SUMMARY The Food Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring that all member food orders are delivered accurately, beautifully presented, and in a timely manner. This position serves as the communication link between the kitchen and front-of-house service team, helping maintain the high dining standards expected in a private country club environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, calm under pressure, and passionate about high-quality service. ---------------------------------------- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ORDER COORDINATION & ACCURACY * Manage and prioritize all incoming food tickets to ensure timely and accurate delivery. * Review each dish for accuracy, portion consistency, quality, and presentation before it leaves the kitchen. * Coordinate timing so that all plates for a table are ready and delivered simultaneously. * Communicate special requests, allergies, and member preferences clearly to kitchen and service staff. COMMUNICATION BETWEEN FOH & BOH * Serve as the main contact point between servers and the culinary team during service. * Maintain calm, clear communication during busy periods. * Relay updates on ticket times, delays, or needed adjustments to the appropriate team members. * Foster a positive and cooperative working environment between all departments. QUALITY & SERVICE STANDARDS * Uphold club standards for presentation, temperature, and accuracy of all dishes. * Ensure consistency for members who frequently order signature or personalized menu items. * Monitor and support service flow during peak times, events, and special functions.
