Position Summary
The Export Control Leadership Development Associate (Export Control LDA) is a role that combines the development aspects of Parker’s Leader Development Program (LDP/Program) with the general duties of a Parker Export Control Analyst. The Export Control LDA’s primary duties will involve support of policy development and alignment, management and auditing of company compliance and metrics, investigations, and leadership on assigned projects and programs, incorporating Program aspects to support decision-making processes that will impact our long-term future.
The Program involves rotations where the Leadership Development Associates (LDAs) will work in a variety of roles, in a competitive training and hands-on leadership program designed to provide knowledge, and experience with using their discretion and independent judgment related to their skillsets to support the business. Leadership training and development experiences occur with the goal to develop skillsets in supervision, team leadership, and management. While in program, rotational assignments are structured to expose participants to coaching/mentoring from other professionals from the organization, different business divisions, facilities, and managers nation-wide.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (4 Year) in Logistics, Supply Chain or Operations Management, International Trade, or Other.
  • Understands and applies basic knowledge of the project management.
  • Working knowledge of export compliance concepts and demonstrated application
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and other related business tools.
  • Understands and applies fundamental problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate status and exchange information with team members and management.
  • Must be able to work without sponsorship/ Incumbent MUST be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident [“green card” holders] or have refugee or asylee status) as this role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

In addition to various leadership development activities and tasks related to the Program, the LDA will perform direct responsibilities related to the rotational Export Control LDA program, including but not limited to:

  • Promotes and fosters a safe work environment.
  • Manages and maintains division’s import and export manuals, and conducts regular audits.
  • Manages and maintains the division’s item master for HTS, COO, and License status.
  • Partners with Engineering and/or procurement on new product compliance coding.
  • Ensures import and export records are filed according to US and Parker rules.
  • Manages and provides FTA data to customers as required.
  • Liaisons with leadership for submittal of Government Licensing applications as necessary.
  • Responsible for the proper exporting of the division’s products.
  • Manages and/or monitors Parker compliance systems and tools.
  • Promotes and ensures adherence to Parker policies and programs.
  • Ensures compliance to industry regulations and protocols such as CTPAT, ITAR, and EAR.
  • Responsible to deliver and/or attend Parker import/export training annually
  • Provides guidance and direction to technical leadership on the interpretation of regulations
  • Utilize lean principles to develop, implement and maintain standard work
