EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of experience in export and international transportation (air/ocean) is helpful.
• 1+ year of experience leading a successful team.
• Knowledge and experience with packing and shipping hazardous materials and temperature-controlled goods are preferred.
• Experience with multiple functions within the distribution center, including Inbound (receiving), Production, Packing, and Shipping Departments, coordinating loads with carriers, and maintaining adequate supply levels.
• “Big Box” experience leading in a large distribution center.
• Essential skills include mentoring and empowering employees, effective communication with various levels of staff, and a customer-centric approach. Building positive customer relationships is a key aspect of the role.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment.
• HazMat Certified or experience with HazMat goods.
• Understanding of regulatory and export compliance.
• Skill in handling performance metrics and leading all aspects of the operational budget.
• Experience with Practical Process Improvement, Lean, or similar methodologies.
• Understanding and experience in Safety protocols.
• Ability to read and write in English.
