REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-3 years of proven experience in Air Export / Import Operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities within air freight logistics.
  • Solid understanding of air freight operations, including rating, booking, and customer service.
  • Ability to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
  • Strong sense of ownership and proactive approach to responsibilities.
  • Positive interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Eagerness to learn and maintain a positive, solution-oriented attitude.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in the Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all aspects of air import and export shipments.
  • Perform vetting and cutting of Air Waybills (AWB).
  • Prepare export permit declarations and liaise effectively with shippers, consignees, and airlines.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service and Warehouse teams on operational matters to ensure seamless processes.
  • Conduct thorough checks and verification of compliance for Dangerous Goods (DG) and Temperature Control cargo.
  • Monitor console cut-off and cargo lodge times to ensure timely processing of urgent shipments.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of all import/export documentation, including MAWB, HAWB, and cargo manifests.
  • Verify cargo details such as weight, slip, commercial invoice, and packing list before processing documents.
  • Handle DG cargo declarations and liaise with third parties for DG packaging by relevant regulations and checklists (DGR).
  • Prepare permit declarations for both import and export air shipments.
  • Manage air shipment space booking and arrange pickup (trucking) services.
  • Ensure air export cargoes are lodged promptly.
  • Coordinate with airlines to ensure the timely closing of MAWB, distribution of cargo, and acceptance by the Terminal.
  • Proactively send pre-alerts to customers and manage the sorting and distribution of documents, including the filing of MAWB and HAWB, to prevent administrative backlogs.
  • Adhere to all customer-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and relevant standard procedures.
