Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Processing documentation on Air, Sea, Road and intermodal (import/export) Domestic and International shipments. Provide good Customer service by following up on the operations through effective communication with various parties involved in supply Chain Management process.
Ensure accuracy of data input to Freight Masters Logistics’s Operating system (Cargo Wise One) and ensure smooth handling of customer inquries.
The position is to mitigate risks and maximize value through engagement with cost reduction, cost saving, cost avoidance and compliance with applicable procurement regulations and international procedures/guidelines on Supply Chain Management. You are responsible for coordinating with existing customers, securing new customers during the process of handling Ocean, Air, and intermodal segment for both import and export to/from Canada.

Responsibilities:

Review and monitor data input on CargoWise operating system for Ocean, Air, Rail (import/export) and intermodal shipments.
LCL (Import/Export) consolidation handling through coordination with partners or agents around the global, bonded WH’s in Canada, co-loaders and customers.
Communicate with sub-contractors and handling import/export shipments.
Procure freight rates, update, and maintain ocean, air, road transport related activities in the CargoWise operating system
Liaise with overseas agents regarding various inquiries. Quote customers following the inquries.
Prepare and handle export and import documentation through CargoWise.
Coordinate and follow up between overseas agents, carriers, customers, truckers, warehouses, Customs brokers etc. to make sure timely processes are followed. Update relevant parties of shipment status.
Invoice customers following quotations, Pricing dept. advises and existing guidelines approved by management.
Receive, check and updated supplier invoices in the CargoWise Operating system and post the invoices
Follow up with finance/accounting dept. for payments and ensure smooth release of shipment and delivery to customers for imports
Follow up with finance/accounting dept. for payments to overseas agents, Ocean carriers or Air lines and ensure delivery of export shipments to overseas consignees
Coordinate with Operations and customer service teams for collaborative approach towards customers
Any other duties entrusted by Operations Manager.
