Air Freight “Export Manager”

Salary c£60k DOE.
Joining our highly regarded logistics client as “Export Manager” for the Air Freight division, you will be part of a busy and hardworking Air Freight team.
The Air “Export Manager” will be responsible for overseeing and managing the air export operations of the London operations. This role involves ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of air freight shipments while maintaining compliance with international regulations and customer service standards. The Air Export Manager will lead a small team, drive operational efficiency, and build strong relationships with clients, carriers, and regulatory agencies. Ideally you will be level D and authorised to clear exports.

SKILLS

• Proven experience in Air Export Management
• Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and documentation processes.
• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Proficient in using export management software and tools.
• Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills for market research and performance evaluation.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

• Manage the entire air export process from order receipt to delivery, ensuring timely and efficient shipment of goods.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth export operations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant export regulations and documentation requirements.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with international clients and partners.
• Prepare reports on export performance, including sales forecasts and market analysis.
• Train and mentor junior staff members in export procedures and best practices.
