About the role Reporting to the Hatchery Manager, you will be trusted to take full ownership of order-to-delivery export operations, ensuring shipments arrive safely and on time, every time. Key responsibilities include: Working closely with MPI, freight forwarders, and international customers to manage export shipments Preparing and coordinating all export and import documentation to meet regulatory requirements Managing last-minute flight changes and logistics disruptions with calm and clarity preserving the safety and integrity of the product Planning shipments in line with production and sales forecasts, liaising with internal stakeholders across the globe Supporting budgeting and forecasting for freight and logistics costs Maintaining document control systems, compliance records, and quality processes Mentoring and supporting a direct report to ensure capability, development and continuity This role requires some flexibility outside standard business hours, aligned to flight schedules. About you You’ll bring proven experience in export logistics, freight, or supply chain, coupled with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. You will demonstrate: Proven experience in export documentation and regulatory compliance Strong understanding of air freight logistics (experience with live product is advantageous) Excellent communication, leadership and relationship management skills High attention to detail; able to manage complex, time-sensitive processes A calm, logical approach to decision-making or problem-solving when managing unexpected changes or pressure situations Confidence working across multiple stakeholders, including customers, regulators, and international teams Sound organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and plan ahead Experience in livestock, dairy, or other live export environments will be highly regarded but is not essential.
