Job Summary: As an Automotive Express Service Technician, you will help drive the continued success by providing reliable preventive maintenance service. Through vehicle maintenance and inspections, you will help to keep customer’s vehicles serviced and safe on the road. You will be offered training to advance your knowledge of automobiles and what it takes to keep them safe and operational. You will have the opportunity to learn about the various systems and through that knowledge, have the potential to grow your career in the automotive industry.

• Strong physical dexterity for working with tools

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality

• Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

• Document and perform work as outlined on repair order following all dealership and factory standards
• Perform Express Service per our guidelines including basic service to more advanced maintenance and light repairs
• Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish as necessary
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
• Keep shop area neat and clean
• Maintain accountability for all dealership-owned tools and manuals
• Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing minor repairs and reprograms under warranty to manufacturer specifications
