Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We have a new Supported Independent Living (SIL) accommodation opening in Terrey Hills in July and are looking for experienced Disability Support Workers who can walk the talk with person centered care and provide exceptional care to our participants.
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for the participants’ daily activities. From providing personal care, community involvement, completing reports, and following personal support plans.
This is an Expression of Interest for potential permanent part time and casual roles, working on a rotating roster Monday to Sunday. The shifts will cover a combination of mornings, afternoons, evenings, and night shifts.
Permanent employees will be paid under the SCHADS Award Level 2.1 $33.41 per hour, with casual employees being paid the additional 25% casual loading on top of the 2.1.

DUTIES:

  • Domestic Assistance – Help with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Personal Care – Support with showering, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
  • Achieve Goals Together – Implement individual support plans to help clients reach their personal goals.
  • Community Connection – Assist with social outings and community participation.
  • Stay Informed – Understand each client’s needs and adapt to changes.
  • Positive Engagement – Build strong, respectful relationships with clients, families, and your team.
