Summary Enhance student wellbeing and learning with a focus on fostering the education, development, mental health and wellbeing of all students. Brisbane Catholic Education are seeking expression of interest for Guidance Counsellors to fill full time, part time, fixed term, continuning and locum roles across various locations.  Location: various locations across Archdiocese of Brisbane  Work hours: 38.00 hours per week Salary: $103,397.00 - $137,600.00 (upto $144,242 for dual registation) + super Contact: careersBCE@bne.catholic.edu.au About the opportunity In this position you will be responsible for:  Facilitate proactive and preventative practices and initiatives for the holistic development, mental health and wellbeing of students  Manage counselling and consulting services for students  Provide psycho-educational and other assessments  Ensure BCE protocols and quality processes are implemented  Maintain standards of practice  Apply guidance counselling skills through direct and indirect processes and through systemic, whole-school, and individual interventions  Participate in regular individual and group supervision and mentoring activities for clinical and technical supervision.  About you To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:  Successful experience as a Guidance Counsellor in an educational setting with a focus on prevention, intervention and student learning  Experience in identifying and developing activities to address academic and life career development of students  Experience in the administration, interpretation and report writing for psycho-educational assessments  Experience in providing support and leadership in response to student protection issues, critical incidents and risk management  Collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment  For this position you are not required to be Catholic.    Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:  Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment  Full registration as a Teacher with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) plus completed Masters in school guidance and counselling, and/or  Full registration as a Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
