Company Description The Institute of Medicine, RCPI is responsible for the strategic development of the General Medicine Membership exam and oversight of the delivery of all aspects (part I, part II written, part II clinical) of the exam. The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland delivers General Medicine examinations to over 4000 candidates annually. The Part and Part II written examinations are conducted globally via remote invigilation. The clinical examinations take place nationally in Ireland and in various centres overseas such as the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Malaysia. Job Description Expressions of interest are open to General Medicine Consultants in Ireland to join our team of expert MRCPI Clinical examiners for the Ireland based clinical examinations. General Medicine Part II Clinical examination is the final examination which must be completed to be eligible for conferral as a member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (MRCPI) in General Medicine. The MRCPI General Medicine Part II Clinical exam assesses a candidate’ clinical skills, their ability to take a history, perform clinical examinations and formulate investigation and management plans. Closing date: 5 June at 16:00 About the Role Becoming an RCPI examiner will help you to improve your own teaching practise and better prepare Trainees who are eligible for the GM clinical exam. You will also gain a deeper understanding of the clinical skills and acumen you should expect from a Trainee completing BST and entering HST. Time Commitment MRCPI in General Medicine Clinical in Ireland is held 3 diets per year (Jan/Feb, May/June, Sept/Oct) across multiple hospital exam centres nationwide. Those who meet the criteria to become an examiner will be required to successfully complete examiner training which is held in-person or online and takes approximately 2 hrs to complete. Responsibilities
