CIMIC Group is seeking a highly experienced Head of Strategy, Systems & Governance as a part of the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) function.   This senior role is pivotal in driving best‑practice governance, assurance and reporting, maintaining critical ISO and OFSC accreditations, and embedding consistent, efficient and data‑driven systems across the organisation.   The position plays a key role in influencing enterprise-wide change, strengthening assurance capability, and supporting informed decision‑making through robust systems, analytics and continuous improvement. The location for this position can be based at any of our head offices. We are only considering internal applications at this time.  About the Role The primary purpose of this position is to lead and continuously improve the CIMIC Group’s integrated Corporate Management System by driving best‑practice governance, process improvement and accreditation management, while strengthening assurance capability and delivering integrated, data‑driven SHEQ reporting to support strategic decision making. Key responsibilities include: * Leading the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the integrated Corporate Management System, driving consistency, discipline and effectiveness across HSEQ and enabling functions. * Overseeing Group assurance, governance and accreditation requirements, including ISO standards and Office of the Federal Safety Commission (OFSC) accreditation. * Driving the maturation of the Assurance Framework, including audit programs, critical risk reviews and enterprise governance processes. * Leading the integration and optimisation of HSEQ reporting, analytics and performance dashboards to support timely, insight‑driven decision making with minimal manual intervention. * Providing expert advice, coaching and mentoring to senior leaders, Functional Managers, Business Unit GMs and project teams on systems, assurance and governance. * Driving organisational change and a strong culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement through visible leadership and engagement across projects and corporate teams.   About CIMIC CIMIC Group is an engineering led services, construction and natural resources leader with a proud history dating back to 1899. Proven leadership and interpersonal skills. * A sound knowledge of legislative requirements and industry best practice. * Ability to identify and evaluate new and innovative methods to improve management systems. * Experience in monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of governance, assurance and reporting systems. * High level negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills. * Significant skill and experience in critical thinking and in the analysis of data and reporting. * Understanding of relevant legislative and accreditation reporting requirements. 
Responsibilities
