Job Description
Acciona Agua Australia, a global leader in sustainable water infrastructure, is inviting expressions of interest for a Process Engineer Draftsman to support the design and delivery of complex water infrastructure projects, including large-scale desalination and advanced water treatment facilities.
This role is integral to the development of high-quality process documentation, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and will contribute to both tendering and execution phases of strategic projects across New South Wales and beyond.

Process Design & Drafting

  • Develop and maintain detailed PFDs and P&IDs in alignment with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with process engineers to translate conceptual designs into accurate technical drawings.
  • Support the integration of emerging technologies and advanced treatment processes into design documentation.
  • Ensure consistency and clarity across all process drawings and documentation packages.

Project Support & Coordination

  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation for tenders, construction, and commissioning.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment between process, mechanical, and electrical designs.
  • Manage drawing revisions, updates, and document control processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback from clients, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Support technical presentations and contribute to the development of client-facing documentation.

Required Skills and Competencies

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or degree in Engineering Drafting, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in drafting PFDs and P&IDs for water infrastructure or industrial projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, or similar drafting software.
  • Strong understanding of process systems, instrumentation, and control elements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple drawing packages.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel interstate and internationally as required.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus, but not essential.
