Description
Down here on the sun-dappled shoreline, something special is taking root. Opening in March 2026, Heirloom is a coastal kitchen and dining space nestled within a stunning new retirement living community just south of Sydney. With sweeping waterfront views, a Mediterranean soul, and a deep love for shared stories and slow meals, Heirloom is where old traditions meet new memories—open to the public, but grounded in the lives of our residents, their families, and friends. Our menu is inspired by the warmth and generosity of the Mediterranean—think simple, seasonal ingredients, generous pours of olive oil, and dishes made to linger over. The kind of food that brings people together and tastes like it’s been passed down through generations. We’re on the lookout for passionate hospitality people to join our founding team—those who understand that great service is about more than just speed. It’s about connection, care, and bringing heart to every plate and every table. We’ll be reviewing applications on a rolling basis from late January as we build our opening crew. Who we're looking for: We’re building a team that feels like family. We’re keen to connect with: Waitstaff All-Rounders who know how to read the room, carry three plates like second nature, and bring heart to every interaction. If you can make a proper barista coffee, pour a perfect glass of wine, and hold a conversation that makes someone’s day—you’re our kind of person. Food & Beverage Attendants with a calm, confident presence and a genuine love for hospitality. You’ll help set the tone for warm, attentive service, keeping things running smoothly while making our guests feel truly looked after. Kitchen Hands who are quick on their feet, calm under pressure, and take pride in the little things—like a spotless bench, a well-stocked fridge, or the perfect prep on fresh produce. You'll be an essential part of a kitchen that runs on rhythm and respect. If you’ve got a strong work ethic, a soft spot for the seaside, and a natural warmth in the way you connect with others—especially those a little older and wiser—we’d love to hear from you. What you'll bring Empathy to interact respectfully with elderly residents, attention to detail to follow dietary requirements, and knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. You share our organisational values of integrity, justice, compassion and excellence, and bring them to everything you do. To thrive in this role, you will need: Food Handling Certificate (preferred) RSA Certificate (required) Barista Certificate (preferred) Hospitality or customer service experience Food service or kitchen experience Why join us? Be part of something from the ground up—shaping the culture and energy of a brand-new venue Work in a beautiful waterfront setting Make meaningful connections with a regular, close-knit community Bring your personality and ideas to a team that values care, creativity, and a good sense of humour Serve and cook Mediterranean-inspired food made for sharing and savouring Because at Heirloom, it’s not just about service. It’s about making people feel at home. Register your interest If this sounds like your kind of place, we’d love to hear your story. To apply for this role, please click the ‘Apply’ button.
