The Opportunity Joining our hospitality team as a Cook or Chef, you'll enjoy working in our kitchen to prepare high-quality daily meals for residents. You'll be a great communicator, enjoy being hands-on, having a passion for food and building relationships with residents. We are opening Expressions of Interests (EOI) for casual and part-time Cooks and Chefs to join our team across our Southside and Bayside Aveo retirement communities. What we offer From $28.62/hr (part-time) + superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances. Employee Referral Program and Employee Assistance Program Discounts to Health Insurance and Retail & Leisure partner providers Be part of a friendly and supportive team in a caring retirement living community Your Impact Assist in the kitchen with the daily preparation and serving of meals as per menus and build cards (chopping, peeling, cooking and plating etc.) Work in a small team to deliver a gold standard of restaurant-quality meals Ensure food safety compliance and kitchen cleanliness by following all procedures Build resident satisfaction by engaging with residents, building relationships and taking feedback Complete general cleaning duties (e.g washing up) What you'll bring Knowledge and/or experience as a Cook, Chef, Kitchenhand or similar Food Safety Certificate (desirable, not essential) A friendly and warm persona with a passion for food and chatting with residents! Current Police check (required, but we can complete for you!)
