UGL Transport are looking for Expressions of Interest in this critical Pre-Contracts Commercial Manager position - this role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane As Commercial Manager (Pre Contracts), you will report to the Senior Commercial Manager and work closely with bid and legal teams to support conversion of tendering opportunities by: - Lead the development of commercial deliverables for submission of expression of interests and tender ensuring they are competitive, accurate, and profitable; - ensure tender submissions align with UGLT policies, including conducting risk assessments of contract terms and conditions; - Input into commercial advice and recommendations to bid and senior management teams; - Develop procurement strategies for subcontract packages and negotiating terms; - In conjunction with legal teams support preparation of client departures: identifying and assessing risks during the tender process; - Negotiating contract terms, conditions, and departures with clients, JV partners, and key subcontractor packages. Qualifications and Skills Experience: Generally 5+ years of proven, extensive experience in commercial management, specifically within pre-contracts/bidding. Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, Construction Management, or Business. Capabilities: Strong negotiation skills, deep understanding of contracts, and the ability to influence stakeholders.
