POSITION SUMMARY:

The Specialized Technology Teacher will work as part of an integrated team of system professionals to build teacher and support staff capacity to seamlessly integrate the use of technology and other educational tools into classroom instructional strategies and tasks to improve student achievement for all students, with a specific focus on improving learning outcomes for students with learning disabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Teacher in good standing with Ontario College of Teachers;
• Special Education qualifications preferred.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Access to a reliable vehicle;
• Eligible to work in Canada.

• Provide direct teacher support/staff development related to technology-enabled learning through in-service sessions, workshops, team meetings, classroom visits, inquiry facilitation, demonstrations and professional dialogue for school-based staff;
• Support the System Specialized Technology Team (SSTT); and other duties as assigned.
