Description

Walpole Public Schools is seeking Extended Day Assistants to supervise students in the before-school morning program. Hours are flexible, and positions are available at Boyden and Old Post Road Elementary Schools. Morning programs run Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 9:00 am. Assistants report directly to the Site Coordinator and Assistant Site Coordinator.

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting and interacting with parents/students at arrival and departure times.
  • Seeing to the welfare, health, and safety of each child.
  • Bringing any information or requests from families to the Site Coordinator.
  • Working with staff to clean room areas thoroughly. All materials are to be returned to their original place.
  • Actively participate in physical activities with children such as sports, playground, gym, etc.
  • Attending all staff meetings, workshops, in-house training, and safety trainings.
  • Assistants need to be aware of the children’s positions and well-being at all times.
  • Providing students with opportunities to engage with a variety of games, building materials, and other available activities.
  • Planning and running scheduled activities at the direction of the Site Coordinator
  • Bringing student issues to the Site Coordinator or Assistant Site Coordinator for support.

AM Extended Day staff | Pay starting at $16 commensurate with experience
PM Extended Day Staff | Pay starting at $16 commensurate with experience
Extended Day Assistant Site Coordinator (Boyden) | Pay starting at $18 commensurate with experience
Extended Day 1:1 Support Staff | Pay starting at $20 commensurate with experience
Extended Day Behavioral Support Specialist | Pay starting at $24 commensurate with experience
Additional $300 bonus available to be paid at completion of the school year and with completion of 10 Professional Development opportunities
