Stantons is a boutique firm with a dedicated team of audit professionals located in Perth, with offices in Sydney and Darwin. We have a team of over 35 experienced professionals throughout Australia. We are also a member of Russell Bedford International, a global network of independent accounting firms, business consultants, and specialist legal advisers, represented by more than 350 offices in 100 countries.
External Audit is a core area within our organisation where we provide external audit services to a variety of entities, including publicly listed entities, unlisted public and proprietary companies, as well as not-for-profit entities.
We are currently seeking to recruit suitably a qualified Assistant Audit Manager or Audit Manager to join our well-established Audit and Assurance team in Perth, with potential assistance in Sydney as required.

OUR REQUIREMENTS

  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ audit experience and a minimum of 1 year of experience as an Audit Supervisor / Assistant Audit Manager / Manager.
  • Have proven people management and leadership experience.
  • Be fully qualified for CA / CPA or equivalent.
  • Experience in auditing publicly listed companies.
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Be technically competent in International Accounting and Auditing standards / IFRS.
  • Be able to control the audit process from planning through to completion.
  • Experience in the use of CaseWare audit software or other audit software.
  • Good time-management skills when conducting multiple audit tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Working closely with Directors to ensure client work is completed to a high standard.
  • Utilising accounting and auditing knowledge and experience when conducting or reviewing audit work.
  • Executing audit engagements and investigations and reviewing audit reports to ensure key deliverables are met.
  • Reviewing audit work performed by the engagement team.
  • Identifying, managing, and reporting on financial risks.
  • Supervising engagement teams, monitoring, and reporting on staff productivity and the effectiveness of the system of internal controls.
  • Being the primary contact for a number of clients and building client relationships.
