Description:

We are now looking for Automotive Engineers to join our field-based, motor fulfilment team and currently have vacancies to cover the following regions:

  • North East England

Our Engineers provide an inspection service and technical support to the claims function. Responsible for inspecting all claimants vehicles within agreed service level time frames, they decide whether the vehicle is a repair or total loss proposition and deal with the claim based on this decision by settling the total loss value directly with the customer or authorising the repairing garage. With a focus on getting our customers back on the road as quickly and as smoothly as possible you will play a key role in the customers motor claims journey.

What we’re looking for:

  • You will have previously worked in the Automotive industry, undertaking similar duties, either as a Motor Insurance Engineer or Vehicle Damage Assessor role
  • You will hold a minimum of ATA VDA qualifications
  • A sound understanding of Thatcham Escribe and Audatex software
  • You will bring knowledge of vehicle repair techniques and motor insurance claims processes
  • You will be customer focused and enjoy working collaboratively with a team

  • Collaborate with your colleagues and the wider business to drive the correct outcome for DLG and our customers
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy on administration of all assessments
  • Support the deployment department and utilise opportunities to maximise productivity whenever possible
