You’ll play a vital role in supporting our external communication efforts, helping to shape and amplify Cogeco’s voice to resonate with our audiences in Canada and the United States.
Reporting to the External Communications Manager and working closely with an External Communications Advisor, you’ll be instrumental in bringing our stories to life. We’re looking for someone with a curious mind, who can simplify complex ideas and adapt quickly in an ever-changing landscape. Responsibilities
  • Execute communication plans: Assist in the creation and deployment of various communication initiatives.
  • Manage communications calendar: Help oversee our annual communication schedule, ensuring messages are delivered effectively and on time.
  • Create and edit content: Write and translate a range of materials, including articles, news updates, speeches, press releases, and other communication tools. Edit, and proofread compelling communication materials in English and in French.
  • Support media relations: Help manage daily media inquiries and relationships.
  • Identify opportunities: Research and discover new ways to boost our external visibility, staying on top of industry trends and events.
  • Support events: Help coordinate and execute events, working with internal teams and external partners.
  • Collaborate across the business: Partner with colleagues across different departments on various cross-functional projects.
  • Support social media: Assist in maintaining and coordinating our presence across all corporate social platforms.
  • Monitor: Conduct daily media monitoring for assigned programs and brands.
  • Report & analyze: Help generate reports on earned media coverage and campaign performance, contributing to insightful presentations for leadership.
