Description:

Role Purpose To support the London Borough of Harrow and wider Harrow Borough Based Partnership to secure external funding that will have an impact on tackling inequalities. The post holder will seek out new external funding opportunities; communicate these to services; provide support and guidance to maximise available opportunities; develop, gain sign off and submit bids; and deliver the best outcomes for our boroughs and residents. To ensure continuous performance improvement across the Council, they will provide training, mentoring and coaching to support service areas around bid submission and will lead on developing a sustainable and effective programme of income maximisation from successful grant applications. Gain an in-depth understanding of the portfolio of programmes sponsored by the Harrow Borough Based Partnership and delivered through the Voluntary and Community Sector, that contribute to tackling health inequalities, improve citizen experience of care and drive better integration of health and care services.
Working with senior leads in the partnership, develop a process for identifying programmes of work that are priorities for ongoing funding and work proactively and reactively to match them to external funding opportunities. The primary responsibility for the role will be to secure external funding sources to address inequalities across the Borough. The role will play a pivotal role in developing a sustainable strategy to identify and secure funding opportunities. This involves building and maintaining effective relationships with relevant partners, including the NHS and the community and voluntary sector.
Additionally, the role will be responsible for preparing and submitting grant applications, managing external funding budgets, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing regular updates on funding progress to senior management and elected members. The roles impact will be evaluated based on how effectively the external funding contributes to reducing inequalities in the community
