We are seeking a qualified and experienced lecturer to join our team as a lecturer in the Foundation Year modules “Foundational Academic Skills” (winter semester 2025/2026) and “Academic Writing and Speaking” (summer semester 2026). These modules are designed to familiarise the students with the basics of academic work, in particular literature research, working with sources, the comprehension and construction of academic texts, and academic integrity.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing course materials for the Foundation Year students.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and teach courses on Foundational Academic Skills and Academic Writing and Speaking
  • Create engaging and interactive lesson plans and provide regular assignments (quizzes, presentations, essays, group discussions)
  • Ensure that course materials and instruction align with departmental goals and objectives
  • Review and correct writing assignments and provide individualized feedback
  • Provide individualized attention and support to students to help them achieve their learning goals

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Education, ELT, or a related field
  • TESOL, CELTA, DELTA, and/or EAP certificate(s) from recognized institutions would be an asset
  • 3+ years of teaching experience, preferably at an undergraduate level
  • Proficiency in English at a native or near-native level
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong commitment to student success and academic excellence
