EXTERNAL MANUFACTURING (EM) TECHNOLOGIST

Location: Oud-Beijerland
Contract Duration: 12 or 18 months

Mars is seeking a Senior External Manufacturing (EM) Technologist to be the primary interface between our company and our External Manufacturing (EM) partners. This role is crucial in ensuring that our high-quality standards are upheld, delighting consumers and customers while adhering to Mars and legal requirements.

As the EM Technologist, you will:

• Act as the primary Mars representative at External Manufacturing sites, embedding Mars’ principles and culture.
• Ensure implementation and maintenance of the Global Quality & Food Safety Standards and Factory Quality Management Process (QMP).
• Partner with commercial teams to drive performance and continuous improvement of External Manufacturers, focusing on their adherence to Mars Q&FS requirements and best practices.
• Oversee new product development and technical changes, ensuring robust management under the Mars QMP framework (e.g., QuEST and PPM).
• Manage product incidents according to the PRIMP process, ensuring escalation within defined timelines.
• Conduct audits at External Manufacturing sites, ensuring compliance with the Mars External Manufacturing Quality Management Standard.
• Lead change management initiatives impacting product compliance with quality, legal, and food safety requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts within EM partners to safeguard the integrity of Mars products.
