Ideal candidate will be based in the Greater Columbus area with the ability to come into the Dublin, Ohio office weekly. What does External Reporting bring to Cardinal Health: Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets. External Reporting is responsible for the preparation and review of financial information to be released outside of the organization such as to the SEC, international statutory regulators and other organizations as well as for the research, interpretation, and communication of related accounting matters. This is a supervisor role of international accounting and external reporting overseeing US GAAP accounting activities as well as the statutory financial statement reporting compliance process in international jurisdictions within our Medical Segment. This role has monthly US GAAP and local GAAP responsibilities for various international jurisdictions. Responsibilities US GAAP accounting close and statutory responsibilities for international entities. Performing US GAAP to local GAAP account reconciliations (G2S rec) and statutory financial statements. As well as trend analysis, balance sheet account reconciliations for entities in scope and ensuring compliance with company policy. This role requires good analytical skills and business acumen due to volume of activity involved. Possesses learning agility and strong presentation skills. Is adept at navigating the organization to identify the appropriate audience for communications. Working with third party firms to complete US GAAP and local GAAP close activities and holding them accountable to high performance and meeting project deadlines. This includes working with local accounting teams in various jurisdictions to complete local GAAP TB and statutory financial statements. This role also includes working with external auditors for entities that require statutory audits. Effectively partners with outsourced staff to take necessary course correcting actions and leverages both the retained and outsourced organizational structure to take action in accordance with established governance protocols. Is adept at identifying and responding to internal control and financial statement risk. Holds self and others accountable for goals and results while bringing passion, determination and grit to deliver on results. Owns the result rather than only the process to get to the result, exhibits big picture thinking, prioritizes appropriately, and collaborates well with others. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred 4+ years of public and / or corporate accounting experience preferred Prior supervisory experience preferred External audit or financial reporting experience highly desired Experience with IFRS or other global accounting standards highly desired Experience with SAP and Hyperion Financial Management preferred What is expected of you and others at this level: Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of operations or business staff Administers and exercises policies and procedures.
