The opportunity has arisen for Process Instrument Solutions Ltd to recruit and develop an External Sales Engineer.
The company envisions maintaining and developing relationships with new and existing customers in all markets, however the main focus will be on the Food & Beverage, Aggregates, Chemical, Hydrogen, Energy & Green Energy (production and use), Carbon Capture and Oil & Gas industries.
There will be several keys to sales growth within our industry. Firstly, it is a company requirement to stay up-to-date with the latest technology, training and research to provide innovative solutions and full and extensive training will be provided. We must also maintain strong relationships with our customers, by providing excellent customer service and support which includes understanding their needs and offering tailored instrumentation and service solutions. Thirdly, we need to continually develop strategic partnerships with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to strengthen the supply chain. Networking and attending relevant industry events also helps us increase visibility and build relationships with potential customers and partners.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are recruiting for an experienced and driven External Sales Engineer to join our fast growing company. This is a unique opportunity to demonstrate the Process Instrument Solutions approach to solution provision and grow key accounts in new and existing business fields through direct client engagement, providing technical support and identifying and specifying instrumentation.
This role can be based from anywhere within the UK, with travel to our head office on a hybrid working agreement.

We are looking for a creative and driven individual to support our business focused on the PIS portfolio of innovative instrumentation.
Embracing flexible working, the position is office based with occasional external interaction required with both suppliers and customers.

USE YOUR SKILLS TO MOVE OUR BUSINESS FORWARD.

  • Provide support and feedback to the business on all aspects of the PIS product portfolio identify the best fit, optimum solution and future trends.
  • Contrite to the success of the Sales department and meeting the departmental and business KPI’s.
  • Knowledge of the process markets with the emphasis on energy, food/beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical and aggregates.
  • A capability to absorb technical information and disseminate that in a simple understandable way.
  • The ability to analyse a specification or a process control challenge and make a confident, accurate proposal for the correct technical solution.
  • Be a technical resource for colleagues, customers and suppliers.
  • Provide technical support to our customers, via our customer portals and ticketing systems.
  • The capability and confidence to select and specify the right instrumentation solution first time, every time.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • We are looking for people with a passion for both technical and commercial sales.
  • Detailed knowledge of a wide variety of process control technologies including level, flow, temperature, pressure, process control, automation and an underpinning grasp of how digitalization can be applied in the context of those technologies within the Process Industries.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • A good understanding of process instrumentation.
