STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for an Extruder Operator to join the team. Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reads manufacturing methods, blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as fixtures and feed rates. Selects, positions, and adjusts machine to proper specifications called out in manufacturing method. Verifies silicon rubber is properly stored prior to use. Moves controls to position take up reel, extruder, and collection reel. Controls feed rate, speed, and machine rate. Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined workpiece to specifications. Sets up and operates machines and equipment other than machine tools such as inspection machines and cooling equipment. Performs quality inspection on finished product. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time Other duties may be assigned as needed Qualifications Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Registrations One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
