This is a 2nd shift position with hours being 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Extrusion operator – Cutoff operations duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: · Use saw to cut extruded product, serialize the product, and inspect the product for defects · Document lot-controlled inspection of rods, slab, discs and serialization sheets · Record product information and data onto the daily cutoff sheets · Box/skid product that is cut · Report any problems/defects/production issues to the shift supervisor · Requisition resin for use on shop orders · Assure proper resin is being loaded per predetermined requirements as stated on shop orders · Clean, fill and maintain resin hoppers through the duration of the shop order · Properly identify and return unused resin to warehouse · Adherence to all plant safety regulations · Report “near misses” and report potential safety hazards · Maintain housekeeping in extrusion areas Requirements Cut-off operator requirements: Mechanical Ability· Proper use of hand and power tools· Basic awareness of electric and the risks attached· Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs· High School Diploma or equivalent· Valid Driver’s License Basic math and computer skills· Good communication skills
Responsibilities
The operator is responsible for cutting extruded products using saws, inspecting them for defects, and documenting production data. They also manage resin hoppers and ensure the production area is maintained according to safety and housekeeping standards.
