OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Extrusion Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating extrusion machinery and will be responsible for producing high-quality products while adhering to safety and quality standards. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in extrusion operations or similar roles.
  • Must be capable of using hand tools to work with high-cost extrusion tooling
  • Quick thinker and knowledgeable at troubleshooting the extrusion process.
  • Knowledge of CNC lathe operations is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
  • Ability to communicate and control their team to achieve high quality production.
  • A background in lean manufacturing practices is highly desirable.
    This is a full-time position for our Night shift based on a schedule of Monday-Thursday 7pm-7am.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor extrusion machines to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
  • Start up profile extrusion lines and produce a high-quality finished product to the required quality standards.
  • Conduct quality inspections on finished products using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Manage extrusion team and responsible for controlling production and maintaining a high-quality product during the shift.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, including quantities produced and any defects noted during inspections.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
