    Americhem- Extrusion Operator  3rd shift, Liberty, NC Eligible for holiday pay upon hire! We are actively hiring Extrusion Operators to join our team at our Liberty, NC plant. Americhem is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of custom color concentrates. Our production operators specialize in setting up, operating, and tending extruding machines to process a variety of products that our customers use to manufacture a vast array of finished products. Pay: Starting at $17.00 with a $1.75 shift diff, but will pay more for experience Shift: 3rd shift (11:00pm to 7:00am) Extrusion Operator Requirements/ Preferred Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience: 1-2 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing/production strongly preferred. Extrusion Operator Knowledge and Skills: · Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot. · Tow motor/forklift experience. · Dependable, reliable, and self-motivated. · Solid math and analytic skills. Extrusion Operator Essential Duties: · Holds safety in highest regard by making good safety decisions, following safety procedures, watching out for the safety of self and others, contributing to safety improvements and participating in safety programs. · Produce compound samples according to specifications by using production equipment, devices and instruments (extruders, scales, feeders, classifiers, pelletizers, dies, visual display units, dials, and calibrators). · Keeps machinery and mechanical equipment operational by performing preventative maintenance tasks on machine and equipment. · The Operator adds color mix to the feeder by using a tow motor/forklift to lift the color pot up to the platform, and setting it in the proper slot. Responsibilities
Operate and maintain extruding machines to produce custom color concentrate compound samples according to specifications. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and use forklifts to manage material feeds.
