POSITION OVERVIEW

We are hiring a Blown Film Extrusion Operator to run our polyethylene and co-extruded film lines. You’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of blown film extrusion equipment, ensuring consistent product quality, minimizing downtime, and supporting our commitment to lean manufacturing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years operating blown film extrusion equipment in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long shifts in a hot production environment
  • Comfortable with shift work and weekend rotation
  • Good communication, math, and record-keeping skills

Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor blown film extrusion lines (mono and co-ex)
  • Perform start-up, shut-down, resin changes, and machine adjustments
  • Monitor gauges, film thickness, bubble stability, and surface treatment
  • Conduct quality checks (gauge, clarity, width, COF, treatment level) and document results
  • Troubleshoot process issues such as gels, die lines, or air entrapment
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and perform basic preventive maintenance
  • Coordinate with QA, maintenance, and shift leads to meet daily production targets
  • Follow all safety protocols, SOPs, and quality standards (BRCGS/GMP if applicable)
