Shift: Weekday Night Shift Monday to Thursday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM or Weekend Night Shift Friday to Sunday from 7pm to 7am
About the Opportunity
A busy manufacturing facility in Brampton is looking to add a hands-on, motivated Extruder Operator to join our production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced, physically active environments and is seeking long-term stability and growth. Candidates with experience in plastic or blown film extrusion are highly preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior experience in plastic or blown film extrusion preferred.

Manufacturing or extrusion experience is an asset.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
*
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
*
Ability to troubleshoot issues and adapt quickly in a dynamic production setting.

Comfortable working in hot conditions and physically capable of standing, walking, and stair climbing for 12-hour shifts.

Ability to follow instructions carefully and handle chemicals safely.

Operate and monitor two extrusion lines continuously during a 12-hour shift.
*
Perform set-up procedures, including putting up the extrusion bubble and threading plastic through the line.

Conduct hourly quality checks to ensure products meet specifications, including seals, bag lengths, openings, hole punches, and printing.

Collaborate with the foreman to troubleshoot and resolve operational or quality issues.
*
Conduct viscosity checks and handle alcohol, solvents, and inks accurately.
*
Manage order changeovers quickly and efficiently, minimizing downtime.
*
Maintain high attention to detail to ensure consistent product quality and efficiency.
*
Adhere strictly to safety procedures in hot production environments (heat-resistant gloves provided).
*
Navigate stairs and multiple mezzanine levels throughout the shift.
*
Remain active on your feet for the entire shift (sitting permitted during breaks only).
