  • Possess a degree in commerce, economics, or law (or a similar qualification).
  • Bring 5 to 10 years of relevant experience with a solid history of high performance in restructuring/advisory work either on behalf of creditors or distressed companies.
  • Either already have or be prepared to obtain the ARITA (Australian Restructuring, Insolvency and Turnaround Association) certification.
  • Have a talent for both numerical and descriptive analysis, and be enthusiastic about contributing positively to our community.
  • Exceptional leadership, business development, communication and team collaboration skills are essential.
  • A bachelor’s degree with roughly 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • An academic background in finance, economics, accounting, or business, with a proven track record in both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of valuation methodologies (e.g., market comparables, discounted cash flow) for assorted applications.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling using MS Excel and similar platforms is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience in leading and performing valuations for accounting or tax engagements.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the national TRS team on leading insolvency projects, both large and medium in scale.
  • Engage in restructuring and turnaround initiatives, including early intervention efforts like independent business evaluations, safe harbour consultations, assessments of financial sustainability, counterparty examinations, and liquidity analyses.
  • Pursue your interests within specific sectors with the encouragement of the senior leadership team, seizing chances to broaden your knowledge and skills.
  • Take advantage of the opportunity to work alongside other teams within Strategy and Transactions, including Debt Advisory, Transaction Diligence, Valuations and Business Modelling, Real Estate Advisory, Infrastructure Advisory, and Mergers & Acquisitions, to deliver optimal solutions for our clients.
