EYFS TEACHER (PHONICS FOCUS)

Location: WF1, Wakefield
Daily Rate: £135-£185 (Depending on Experience)
Are you an experienced EYFS Teacher with a passion for teaching phonics? Do you have a strong understanding of phonics education and want to make a difference in young learners’ early development? If so, we want you to join our diverse and welcoming primary school in Wakefield, supporting children on their early years education journey.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with experience in Early Years settings.
  • Strong understanding of Phonics teaching methods, with experience in structured phonics programs.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to cater to the diverse needs of young learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and children.
  • Proven ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
  • Experience supporting children with SEN is an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality Phonics education within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Create engaging and stimulating lesson plans that promote early literacy skills and language development.
  • Provide tailored support to students to ensure progress in phonemic awareness and reading fluency.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to enhance student learning and development.
  • Manage challenging behaviours effectively, maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
